The Beirut Murals

During the Autum/winter of 2017 I created a total of five murals for the entrance os the Ziggy's bar at the same location and and two other rooms on the upper floors. Because of the eagerness to start work after so many weeks of waiting for the go ahead I did this murals in a frenzy. Working from noon to midnight everyday, I adopted the style that was easiest to me, drawings and line over flat surfaces of color. Figures pile up next to each other creating associations that are directed like an orchestra director by the dominating figures or focal points of the picture plane.  All images of beuty and culture riches in firts place the omes that originated in the region. This is Beirut I they don't want violence an uggliness and remebrances of war. The Christian owner of the place have an ancestor that flew Syria and it was canonized years ago.
